About Butajira Poly Technic College
The college is established in 1990E.C, as one of SDCs in SNNPRS. Since its establishment in 1990 E.C the college had been offering technical and vocational education and training service for the local community through both formal and non-formal programs. Although the college had started its function in limited number of occupations, limited material and human resources through process, promising improvements have been achieved and its contribution to local development is becoming prominent. Because of its incremental institutional development plan achievements, its internal skilled human resources, training equipment and tools and relatively good performance of infrastructural expansion projects of the college which is invested by the regional and local government, the college developed from the status of TVET College to Polytechnic College from the year of July 10/2019

Mission
To train middle level professionals in formal and non-formal programs based on the labor market demand of the region as well as the country via flexible and outcome based education and training system. We are also responsible serve the society as an incubation center of MSE’s and technology transfer.

Based on the general guiding principles of the national TVET strategy and the new Ethiopian occupational standards, And working accordingly, to see competent, motivated, adaptable and innovative work force that can contribute in alleviating poverty from the country and to be a center of excellence in our DAC in the year 2025 (2032/33).
